Rice Bowls is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides much needed meals to great kids around the world through partnerships with Christian orphanages. The manufacturing, administration and distribution for Rice Bowls takes place in Upstate South Carolina. Since its inception, Rice Bowls has raised tens of millions of dollars to alleviate world hunger.
Churches Helping Churches (CHC) is a global partnership of church communities who seek to rebuild other churches in the wake of a catastrophic natural disaster. Importantly, we are not Churches Helping People or even Christians Helping Churches. Rather, we are church communities from all over the world who have partnered through CHC with other church communities of brothers and sisters who are suffering. CHC was founded by Pastor James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel and Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church following the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti on January 12, after the two went to the devastated capital within the week of the event.
Samaritan's Purse is a Christian relief and evangelism organization led by Franklin Graham. For over 40 years, Samaritan's Purse has done our utmost to follow Christ's command by going to the aid of the world's poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the world with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Through Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan's Purse demonstrates God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination since 1865. Nearly 33 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. About 83 cents of every dollar raised is used to support those services in nearly 9,000 communities nationwide.
Pregnancy counseling, adoption, foster care: Bethany cares for children in the U.S. in a variety of ways. You can help. Perhaps you are called to adopt, become a foster care parent, or a temporary care provider through Safe Families for Children™ Perhaps you or someone you know are facing an unplanned pregnancy and are in need of pregnancy counseling. It may be that you are called to make a way for someone else through your financial support. We seek to strengthen families and, in all that we do, extend God’s love by reaching out to children in need.
