Living Waters is an evangelism resource and training site that helps Christians "share their faith" (evangelism) effectively, biblically--the way Jesus did. Our vision is to inspire in every Christian a God-glorifying passion to fulfill the Great Commission. Our mission is to accomplish this through our award-winning television program, our Ambassadors' Alliance and Academy, Transformed and Deeper training conferences, CDs, DVDs, books, and unique gospel tracts. Our earnest prayer is that God would raise up laborers as never before. Our desire is for those laborers to embrace biblical evangelism, and our aim is to equip them with tools to make the task easy and effective.
The Pocket Testament League has, since 1893, motivated Christians to read, carry and share the Word of God. Started as the vision of a teenage girl named Helen Cadbury, The Pocket Testament League provides resources to help believers develop a lifestyle of biblical discipline and personal evangelism. Membership is completely free. Members may order Gospels of John to give away as special gifts in one-on-one encounters in their day-to-day lives. Gospels and other resources are offered in English, Spanish and Chinese, and in several Scripture versions.
Founded by The Gideons International, The Life Book Movement (TLBM) is an innovative strategy to reach high school students with God's Word. TLBM works through local churches and their students to saturate high schools with God's Word. Best described as a short-term mission trip in which high school students get the opportunity to offer the gift of The LIfe Book to their classmates during school. Because it is legal for students to distribute religious literature in public schools, this unique approach provides an opportunity for churches and youth ministries to get God’s Word in the hands of every student in every high school they serve.
The Engel Scale was developed by James F. Engel as a way of representing the journey from no knowledge of God through to spiritual maturity as a Christian believer. The model is used by some Christians to emphasize the process of conversion, and the various decision-making steps that a person goes through before they become a Christian. Engle Scale of Evangelism is adapted from What's Gone Wrong With The Harvest? by James F. Engel & Wilbert Norton, and published by Zondervan in 1975.
The general purpose of Reaching Catholics For Christ (RCFC) is to support ex-Catholics and other individuals in their endeavor to personally minister the true gospel of salvation to their Catholic loved ones, friends and acquaintances. RCFC is committed to 1) strengthen and increase the effectiveness of associated ministries which have been called to proclaim the biblical gospel to Catholics, and 2) help such ministries educate the body of Christ as to the unbiblical nature of Roman Catholic salvation. Simply, RCFC is committed to encouraging intercommunication among the millions of born-again ex-Catholics (and other like-minded believers), as well as connecting them to ministries throughout the world which can help them evangelize Catholics.
Servant Evangelism wins the heart before it confronts the mind. A small act of kindness nudges a person closer to God, often in a profound way as it bypasses ones mental defenses. The average Christ-follower is willing to hand a stranger a can of cold Coke on a hot day (low risk). The high grace is seen in the typical reaction. "Oh, thank you!" "This is so nice!" "I can't believe this is for free!" And, "Why are you doing this?" Kindness builds the bridge for the person to receive a touch of love from God. It's simple, practical, effective, inexpensive and fun!
